Frank’s life was one of deep devotion—to his family, his faith, and his community. Born and raised in Newark, he later made his home in Somerville with his beloved wife, Janet. A veteran of the United States Army during the Korean War, Frank served his country with honor, embodying the values of courage and duty that would shape his life’s journey. His dedication extended into the world of science, where he applied his intellect and passion as a scientist for Carter Wallace.

However, Frank’s greatest impact was not just in his professional achievements but in the way he enriched the lives of those around him. He was a cornerstone of the Jewish Community Center, serving as one of its early presidents and fostering a sense of belonging for so many. At Temple Sholom in Bridgewater, he found another home and became an integral part of the synagogue’s fabric, offering his wisdom, kindness, and unwavering support to those around him. He dedicated himself to its services, classes, chairing the ritual committee, and community events. Whether leading daily prayers, participating in adult education classes, or adorning the synagogue with his artwork, Frank’s presence was one of boundless generosity and spirit. To the children of the synagogue, Frank was the “candy man,” a gentle figure who never failed to bring a smile with his treats. To the adults, he was a gifted storyteller, weaving tales that resonated with humor, wisdom, and the richness of life. He gave not just with his hands, but with his heart, ensuring that every person he met felt seen, heard, and valued.

Frank’s legacy is one of faith, kindness, and an enduring commitment to the synagogue he loved.
