Scholarship Fund
Through a Scholarship Fund, an individual or family can provide financial assistance to local students with a specific purpose in mind, such as educational trips to Israel, Jewish summer experiences or academic resources for Jewish college students
How Does It Work?
With a minimum gift of $50,000, a Scholarship Fund can be established to support students while focused on a specific area of interest. Our Foundation oversees the marketing of a Scholarship Fund within the Greater Mercer Jewish community and manages the application process. Set up as an Endowment Fund, four or five percent of a Fund balance is typically disbursed each year. Scholarship grants are not given to students directly. Rather, grants are given to the nonprofit organizations overseeing the programs through which the students are affiliated.
